Sneak Peek from Ashentide’s Photo Shoot

You may recall that about a year and a half ago I photographed the symphonic metal band Ashentide in Los Angeles.  Here’s a quick link to the blog post of the images from that photo shoot.  Since then, they’ve welcomed some new band members so this past weekend I was again down in Los Angeles photographing the band for updated images.  I must say, I haven’t had this much fun at a shoot in a while.  I say that because not only were we shooting at a gorgeous beach in Malibu, but we all ended up in the water too!   Each band member is so much fun and they all have great personalities.  They were up for anything that I had them do including sitting in the sand, posing in front of ominous rock outcroppings, and of course standing in the cool Pacific ocean!  There were about 11 of us total on location and we all had a blast.  Here’s a behind the scenes image my assistant captured of one of our last band images of the day.

Oh, and one more thing.  It was also my Mom’s birthday the day of the shoot and she was a trooper hanging out with us for 2 hours.  At the end, the entire Ashentide band sang Happy Birthday to my Mom and gave her a big hug.  That was so nice of them!

Thanks everyone from Ashentide, Makeup artist Sarah Wong and assistant Jehangir.  You each were integral in making this shoot a success.  I can’t wait to share the final images once we have them finalized!

Portrait, Branding, Fitness & Studio PHOTOGRAPHER

Fueled by equal parts Earl Grey tea and passion, I spend my days capturing the kinds of images that make you stop, smile and ask time to please slow down. I believe in real moments and heartfelt conversations on the front porch. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.
