We're so excited to announce our first contest, a National Baby & Child Portrait Contest with a chance to win $5000!
Schedule a baby, child or family portrait session with us May 1st – 16th, 2010, choose one image per child to enter, and the winning family could win $5000! After your portrait session with us, you will have a second appointment where you will choose one image per child to be entered, and parents will also have the opportunity to purchase their favorite images from the session, so why not get the whole family involved. The family of the national winning baby or child portrait will be awarded $5000 cash and announced in July 2010. Children ages 12 and under can be entered into the contest.
There are 4 portrait categories:
- Color
- Black & White/Sepia
- Special Needs
- Humorous

Here in Nevada this is the perfect time of year to take advantage of the beautiful weather and local scenery before it gets too hot. And what better than to capture those fleeting moments of a baby or child before they are gone and have the chance to win $5000 cash!
(*To be entered, sessions must take place May 1 – 16, 2010. Entry does not guarantee a prize. There is no entry fee. Parents or legal guardians must sign a Model Release Form authorizing Shalimar Studios to submit their image for the contest. Those images submitted to the contest by Shalimar Studios on or before May 20, 2010, and will be voted on by a panel of national photographers. If selected as a preliminary winner, said image will move to the final round for consideration of the $5000 grand prize.)
